GameStop’s The Sandbox

In 2018, I was brought on as a Day Zero creator to help kick-start one of GameStop’s new social media projects called The Sandbox. The overall goal of the project was for the community to participate in video challenges to have a chance to win cash prizes. These segments, included but were not limited to: History of the Game, First Impressions, Games That Define You, Collectors Corner and much more.

History of the Game

When brainstorming concepts for the channel, I came up with the first History of the Game segment. My goal was to create a fun and informative video about the History of the first Electronic Entertainment Expo in 1995. Instead of the traditional on camera format, I switched it up with an animation approach.

My video ended up being a huge success for The Sandbox when it launched on the channel’s premiere. Eventually, The Sandbox would accumulate over 50k subscribers to the channel.
